KELDA GROUP PENSION PLAN (THE “PLAN”) – DEFINED CONTRIBUTION SECTION

NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925

Pursuant to Section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925, the Trustee of the Plan gives notice that the winding-up of the Defined Contribution Section (which incorporates the ‘Career Choices’ and ‘KWS (Wales)’ Sections) under the Plan, which commenced with effect from 9 December 2019, will shortly be completed. The Trustee has sent a notice to all known members of the Career Choices and KWS (Wales) Sections of the Plan in accordance with the Occupational Pension Schemes (Disclosure of Information) Regulations 2013. All known members’ and beneficiaries’ benefits within those Sections will be secured or transferred to alternative pension arrangements. The Trustee of the Plan requests that (a) any former employee (whether part time or full time) of Kelda Group Limited (or any subsidiary company within the Kelda Group), or if such a person is deceased (b) the spouse or dependant of that person, who in either case is, or thinks they might be, entitled to benefits under the Career Choices or KWS (Wales) Sections of the Plan, and (c) any other person who believes they may have a claim against the Plan in relation to the Career Choices or KWS (Wales) Sections of the Plan, who has not been contacted by the Trustee about the wind up, provides written particulars of any such entitlement or claim to Jonathon Woodrow, Mercer Limited, Belvedere, 12 Booth Street, Manchester, M2 4AW on or before 30 April 2020.

After this date, the Trustee will proceed to finalise and secure members’ benefits in relation to the Career Choices and KWS (Wales) Sections of the Plan and, in doing so, will have regards only to the claims of which they currently have notice. The Trustee shall then not be liable to any person whose claim has not been notified to them by the date stated in this notice. Notification is not required from persons who have received correspondence dated 6 January 2020 relating to the winding-up of the Career Choices or KWS (Wales) Sections of the Plan.
