HIGHWAYS ACT 1980: SECTION 116

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Application will be made to the Justices of the Peace sitting at the Norwich Magistrates Court, Bishopgate, Norwich, NR3 1UP,on 10th November 2020 at 1:00pm for an Order authorising the stopping-up of a section of Highway being part of the Unclassified road known as U23745, Old Wisbech Road, Outwell near property No 15 -17 Wisbech Road, (post code PE14 8PA) in the in the parish of Outwell and in the Borough of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk.

The area to be stopped up for the purposes of all public highway rights are as follows:

In the parish of Outwell, the unclassified road, known as Old Wisbech Road, the area to be stopped up is an irregular polygon shape. Beginning as an equilateral triangle in the south, which then opens up at the north western tip to form a long narrow rectangle which heads in a north westerly direction ending as an isosceles triangle.

In more detail it commences at grid reference TF5135, 0376 and heads southwest for approximately 12 metres to grid reference TF5134 0376, then north west for approximately 74 metres to grid reference TF5131 0383, then north east for approximately 2 metres to grid reference TF5132 0383. It then continues in a north westerly arc for approximately 5 metres to grid reference TF5131 0383, then south for approximately 11 metres to grid reference TF 5131 0382, then south east for approximately 88 metres to grid reference TF5135 0375. Finally, it heads north west for approximately 11 metres to return to grid reference TF5135 0376 as shown on the plan attached.

The overall area measured to be stopped up totals 340 square metres.

A plan showing the land hatched green which is the subject of this Application may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DR and at the offices of the Borough Council of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk, King’s Court, Chapel Street, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, PE30 1EX.

Any person using the Highway or any person aggrieved by the making of the Order, has a right to be heard before the Justices.
