LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton on 3 March 2025 made the following Order The Sutton (Parking, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. 20) Order 2025 under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 19841, as amended –

2. The general effect of the Order will:-

(a) introduce/extend waiting restrictions operating ‘at any time’ (double yellow lines) in

(i) Capel Avenue at its junction with Godalming Avenue, and on the east side of the island site at its junction with The Chase

(ii) Godalming Avenue - outside No 12

(iii) Headley Avenue in its north-western arm on its north-western side and adjacent to No. 9a Godalming Avenue

(iv) The Chase at its junction with Stafford Road

(b) Introduce/extend waiting restrictions operating ‘Monday to Friday between 7.30 to 9.30am and 2.30 to 4.30pm (single yellow lines) in

(i) Capel Avenue outside No. 1, adjacent to Nos. 26 and 28 Godalming Avenue and No. 14 The Chase

(ii) Godalming Avenue outside Nos 25 to 29

(iii) The Chase outside No. 12 and on the north and west sides of the island site at its junction with Capel Avenue

3. A copy of the Order and map schedules that will come into force 10 March 2025, of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be inspected at the Council’s Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1EA. Copies can also be obtained by calling 020 8770 5000.

4. If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984 or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
