(NOTE: This notice is about continuing indefinitely parking places for micromobility which are for both dockless cycle rental hire and to support the trial of electric scooters (e-scooters) overseen by Transport for London, London Councils and participating London Boroughs.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Lambeth (‘the Council’), on 19 March 2025 made The Lambeth (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. 61) Order 2025 and the Lambeth (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. 57) Order 2025, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Orders will come into force on 25 March 2025.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be to continue permanently to:

(a) provide micromobility parking places that may be used at any time and without time limit by dockless rental cycles, as well as electric scooters that are part of a trial and provided for hire by companies authorised by and under such conditions as stipulated by Transport for London, in):

3. The Orders are intended to facilitate the riding of electric scooters in the manner established by Government Regulations and are necessary to prevent dockless cycles and e-scooters from being parked on the footway and other locations which can cause accessibility issues.

6. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
