1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, with the agreement of the City of Westminster, proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order would be to provide a pedestrian and cycle zone in:

(i) Moscow Road, between the eastern kerbline of the eastern arm of Pembridge Square and the western kerbline of Ossington Street, between 8am and 9am and on Mondays to Fridays inclusive; and

(ii) Pembridge Square, the entire lengths of the eastern and southern arms, between 8am and 9am and on Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

[Note: (1) This order will serve Pembridge Hall and Wetherby Schools, situated in Pembridge Square. (2) Foot scooters, e-scooters, emergency vehicles, Dial-a-ride buses and vehicles displaying a valid Blue Badge will be exempt from the closures. Residents and traders who live or work in the section of road referred to above will be able to register for an exemption. (3) The pedestrian and cycle zone will operate at the times stated above, although in practice it is anticipated that it will only operate during these hours in school term-time, when physical barriers are installed on street].

Anyone who wishes to support or object to these proposals or make any other representations in respect of them, should send a statement in writing to that effect, and in the case of an objection, stating the grounds thereof to: trafficorders@rbkc.gov.uk or Traffic Orders, Room 1.02, Council Offices, The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, 37 Pembroke Road, London, W8 6PW quoting reference ”School Streets - Pembridge Square” by 11th June 2025.

4. A copy of the proposed Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the scheme may be obtained via email by contacting trafficorders@rbkc.gov.uk quoting reference: “School Streets - Pembridge Square” and can be inspected at the Reception, Council Offices, The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, 37 Pembroke Road, London, W8 6PW during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive.
