THE ISLINGTON (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 202*

THE ISLINGTON (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 202*

1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington, in partnership with the City of London, proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, and of all other powers thereunto enabling.

2) The general effect of the Orders would be to:

a) on Finsbury Pavement, the eastern side, extend the ‘no loading at any time’ restriction northwards by 37.7 metres, ending at a point 13.2 metres south of the southern kerb-line of Lackington Street;

b) relocate the existing pedestrian crossings:

i) on Finsbury Pavement north of its junction with Ropemaker Street/South Place, 1.3 metres north; and

ii) on South Place east of its junction with Finsbury Pavement/Moorgate, 0.6 metres to the north west;

c) introduce a new diagonal pedestrian crossing between the junction of South Place and Finsbury Pavement, to run southwest to the junction of Ropemaker Street and Moorgate.

3) A copy of the proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection. 4) Any person who wishes to object, or to make other representations about the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing, specifying the grounds on which they are made to Islington Environment, P O Box 2025, PERSHORE, WR10 9BU (quoting reference 8239), within the period of twenty-one days from the date on which this Notice is published.
