THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (PARKING PLACES) (C ZONE) (AMENDMENT NO. 148) ORDER 2025
THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. 567) ORDER 2025
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council on 2nd June 2025 made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Orders will be, on the north-east side of Croxley Road, outside Maida Vale School, to:
(a) remove the motorcycle parking place (10 metres);
(b) relocate the shared-use parking place south-eastward by 10 metres and shorten it by 2.8 metres; and
(c) at the junction with Macroom Road, extend the double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions 12.8 metres south-eastward to facilitate the installation of a “school keep clear” marking at that junction.
3. Please note the following proposals, as detailed in the Notice of Proposals published on 7th June 2023, have been abandoned:
(a) removal of the pay-by-phone parking bay (5 metres) outside Simon Court, Croxley Road and replacement with single yellow line waiting restrictions; and
(b) removal of the “school keep clear” marking on the west side of Saltram Crescent, outside Maida Vale School, and extension of the pay-by-phone parking place by 5 metres.
4. The Orders, which will come into force on 7th July 2025, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until 14th July 2025 at https://westminstertransportationservices.co.uk/notices and, in person by appointment only, at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP, between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (except bank / public holidays). 5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
