ROAD TRAFFIC ACTS
THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM (WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (RENWICK ROAD) AMENDMENT NO. ** ORDER 202*
THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM (CYCLE TRACK) (RENWICK ROAD, BARKING) ORDER 202*
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in exercise of its powers under sections 6 and 124 and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (hereinafter called “the Act”) and all other enabling legislation and powers and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis in accordance with Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act propose to make the above Order, the effect of which will be to:
1. Introduce No Waiting at any time restrictions at the following locations:
a. Renwick Road, west side, from a point 60 metres south of its junction with Bastable Avenue for a distance of 107 metres in a southerly direction.
b. Renwick Road, west side, from its junction with Thames Road for a distance of 73.4 metres in a southerly direction.
c. Renwick Road, west side, from a point 113 metres south of its junction with Thames Road for a distance of 63.3metres in a southerly direction.
d. Renwick Road, west side, from a point 196.6 metres south of its junction with Thames Road for a distance of 112.5 metres in a southerly direction.
e. Renwick Road, west side, from a point 114.5 metres north of its junction with Merz Road for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction.
f. Renwick Road, east side, from a point 60 metres south of its junction with Bastable Avenue for a distance of 204.4 metres in a southerly direction.
g. Renwick Road, east side, from a point 113.1 metres south of its junction with Thames Road for a distance of 60 metres in a southerly direction.
h. Renwick Road, east side, from a point 193.9 metres south of its junction with Thames Road for a distance of 116 metres in a southerly direction.
i. Renwick Road, east side, from a point 42.3 metres north of its junction with Merz Road for a distance of 83.4 metres in a northerly direction.
2. Introduce a new one-way cycle track with widths of 1.5 metres both sides adjacent to the carriageway and converting part of the existing footway (leaving a width of at least 1.9 metres of footway) at the following locations:
a. Renwick Road, west side, from a point 82.5 metres south of its junction with Bastable Avenue for a distance of 465.7 metres in a southerly direction, allowing cyclists to travel in a northerly direction.
b. Renwick Road, east side, from a point 60 metres south of its junction with Bastable Avenue for a distance of 562.6 metres in a southerly direction, allowing cyclists to travel in a southerly direction.
3. Revoke the existing No waiting Mon-Fri 8.30am-5.30pm restrictions at the following locations:
a. Renwick Road, west side, from a point 60 metres south of its junction with Bastable Avenue for a distance of 107 metres in a southerly direction.
b. Renwick Road, east side, from a point 60 metres south of its junction with Bastable Avenue for a distance of 141.4 metres in a southerly direction.
Barking and Dagenham hereby GIVES FURTHER NOTICE in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 90A-F of the Highways Act 1980 as amended and of all other enabling powers and in accordance with the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 as amended and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis intends to construct the following traffic calming measures;
4. Raised tables with a height of 75 mm and a 0.375 on/off gradient across the entire carriageway width, at the following locations:
a. On Renwick Road, from a point 62 metres south to a point 76 metres south of its junction with Bastable Avenue.
b. On Minden Gardens, from its junction with Renwick Road to the back of the footway on Renwick Road.
