OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES - STRATFORD MULTI-STOREY CAR PARK
REVISON OF PARKING CHARGES, REMOVAL OF EXISTING “PAY ON FOOT” METHOD OF PAYMENT AND REPLACEMENT WITH CASHLESS PAYMENTS SYSTEM AND INTRODUCTION OF EVENT DAY PARKING CHARGES
The Newham (Off-Street Parking Places) (No. 2, 1995) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham proposes to make the above mentioned Order under Sections 32, 35 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Order would be to further amend the Newham (Off-Street Parking Places) (No. 2) Order 1995 (insofar as it relates to Stratford Multi-storey car park) so as to:
(a) revise the existing parking charges as follows:
(i) up to 1 hour - £2.90, up to 2 hours - £5.90, up to 3 hours - £6.90, up to 4 hours - £7.50, up to 6 hours - £8.00, and for 6 to 24 hrs - £8.00; and
(ii) season tickets: weekly - £49.00, monthly - £199.00, quarterly - £499.00, and yearly - £1999.00;
(b) change the existing “pay on foot” method of payment to a cashless payment system. Users would be able to pay parking charges by making an appropriate credit/debit card payment by mobile phone or via the online “PayByPhone” app. Cash payments would still be possible via PayPoint in local shops; and
(c) introduce an event day parking charge of £15 applicable during event days only for events at the London Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park E20.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Order can be made available during normal office hours on Monday to Friday by telephoning 020 3373 6415, by emailing traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk, or inspected (by prior appointment – please telephone the above number) at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU, until six weeks after the date on which the Order is made or until the proposed Order is withdrawn, as appropriate.
5. Any objections and other representations relating to the proposed Order must be made in writing and received by 16 July 2025. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. They should be sent to the Acting Director of Highways, Parking & Transportation, London Borough of Newham, 3rd Floor West, Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road, London E16 2QU or by email to: traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk
6. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any letter or e-mail sent to the Council in response to this Notice may be subject to publication or disclosure, or both, including communication to other persons affected.
