Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State intends to introduce legislation to ban the supply and sale of wet wipes containing plastic in England.

The Government’s intention is to bring these regulations into force 18 months after the legislation is signed, subject to Parliamentary approval. The draft legislation is available to view here:

Any person may make representations on the legislation in writing to the Secretary of State. Any such representations should be sent by 31 July 2025 to:
