1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton under the powers conferred by sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 63 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make the above-mentioned Orders.

2. The general effect of the ‘Pedal Cycles Order’ would be to provide a secure bicycle parking facility (fully enclosed bike hangar measuring 2.6 metres in length and 2 metres in width for a maximum of 6 pedal cycles) at each of the locations specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

3. The general effect of the ‘Parking Places Amendment’ Orders would be to remove existing lengths of certain of the parking places referred to in the Schedule to this Notice to facilitate the introduction of bike hangars.

4. The general effect of the ‘Free Parking Places’ Order would be to remove a redundant disabled persons parking place in Chilmark Road to facilitate a bike hangar.

5. A copy of each of the proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including plans which indicate the roads or lengths of road to which the Orders relate, can be inspected Mondays to Fridays during normal office hours at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden. Documents are also available for viewing at https://www.merton.gov.uk/streets-parking-transport/traffic-management/consultations .

6. Any person desiring to comment on the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof, to the Environment and Regeneration Department at the Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden SM4 5DX, or alternatively by email to trafficandhighways@merton.gov.uk quoting reference ES/HANGARS3 no later than 8th August 2025.

ARMFIELD CRESCENT, CR4; the north-east side, from a point 27.4 metres north of the south facing wall of Mainwaring Court, north-westward for a distance of 2.6 metres.

AUTUMN CLOSE, SW19; the west side, from a point 15.5 metres north of the northern kerb-line of North Road northward for a distance of 2.6 metres.

BEECHOLME AVENUE, CR4; the east side, from a point 8 metres south-east of the south-western kerb-line of Elmhurst Avenue southward for a distance of 2.6 metres. (CPZ GC3)

BRIDGES ROAD, SW19; the east side, from a point 4.8 metres north of the south facing wall of No. 1 Latimer Road northward for a distance of 2.6 metres. (CPZ 3F) (The adjacent e-bike cycle hire bay would be extended by 2 metres).

CAVENDISH ROAD, SW19; the north side, from a point 10 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Park Road eastward for a distance of 2.6 metres. (CPZ CW)

CHILMARK ROAD, SW16; the west side, from a point in line with the north facing wall of No. 118 Hassocks Road southward for a distance of 2.6 metres.

COLLEGE ROAD, SW19; the north-east side, from a point 9.1 metres south-east of the north-west facing wall of No. 27 Denison Road, south-eastward for a distance of 2.6 metres. (CPZ CW)

FARADAY ROAD, SW19; the south side, from a point 10 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Trinity Road, eastward for a distance of 2.6 metres. (CPZ 3E)

GARDEN AVENUE, CR4; the north-east side, from a point 16.5 metres west of the west facing wall of No. 1 Garden Avenue, westward for a distance of 2.6 metres. (CPZ GC3)

GRENFELL ROAD, CR4; the south side, from a point 5.5 metres west of the western kerb-line of Bruce Road westward for a distance of 2.6 metres. (CPZ GC)

PINCOTT ROAD, SW19; the west side, from a point 22.5 metres south of the southern kerb-line of Merton High Street, southward for a distance of 2.6 metres.
