LONDON BOROUGH OF ISLINGTON

THE ISLINGTON (MOVING TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS) TRAFFIC ORDER (NO. 7) 2025

1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington, on 14 August 2025, made the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, and of all other powers thereunto enabling.

2) The general effect of the Orders which come into effect on 15 August 2025, will be to continue indefinitely the experimental scheme in operation in the streets listed in this notice. The effect will therefore be to:

a) prohibit vehicular traffic on Tollington Road from turning left onto Annette Road (with the addition of an exception for authorised vehicles);

b) suspend the ‘no entry’ restriction on Annette Road at its junction with Lister Mews; and

c) prohibit motor vehicles from entering Annette Road at its junction with Tollington Road (with the addition of an exception for authorised vehicles).

3) A copy of the made Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection. Copies of these documents may be obtained either by emailing environment@islington.gov.uk, by telephoning Environment on 020 7527 2000 or by sending a postal request to Environment, 1 Cottage Road, London N7 8TP, citing scheme 8478. You can arrange an inspection in person by emailing environment@islington.gov.uk or calling 020 7527 2000.

4) Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provisions contained therein on the grounds that it or they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may make application for the purpose to the High Court within six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made.
