THE ISLINGTON (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO. 16) ORDER 2025
THE ISLINGTON (MOVING TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS) TRAFFIC ORDER (NO. 8) 2025
1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington, on 14 August 2025, made the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, and of all other powers thereunto enabling.
2) The general effect of the Orders which come into effect on 15 August 2025 would be to:
a) reduce the extent of the pedestrian and cycle zone (school street zone) around Hugh Myddelton Primary School, so that the current extent between the junctions of Garnault Place and Roseberry Avenue, and a point on Myddelton Street 36 metres south-west of its junction with Gloucester Way, is removed from the zone.
b) remove 10 metres of resident parking (2 spaces) on the south-east side of Myddelton Street, at a point 36 metres south-west of its junction with Gloucester Way.
c) remove 1 metre of resident parking on the north-west side of Myddelton Street, at a point 36 metres south-west of its junction with Gloucester Way.
d) to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions in the locations where resident parking is removed.
e) The existing school street times (Mon-Fri, 8:30-9:30am and 3-4pm) will remain, and there will be no changes to the addresses eligible for exemption permits.
3) A copy of the made Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection. 4) Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provisions contained therein on the grounds that it or they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may make application for the purpose to the High Court within six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made.
