ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE GLA ROADS AND GLA SIDE ROADS (GREENWICH) RED ROUTE CONSOLIDATION TRAFFIC ORDER 2007 A205 (JOHN WILSON STREET AND WOOLWICH HIGH STREET) VARIATION ORDER 2025
1. Transport for London, hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The general nature and effect of the Order will be to:
(1) reduce the length of the loading bay outside New Wine Church, Gateway House and No.145 Woolwich High Street, The Mitre Public House on the roundabout junction (with Woolwich Church St, Woolwich High Street, Ferry Approach and John Wilson Street) hereafter referred to as Woolwich Ferry Roundabout by 5 metres from its north-western end and 1 m from its south -eastern end; No Stopping Mon-Sat 7am - 7pm Except 10am-4pm loading max 20 mins;
(2) install 27 metres of NO Stopping at Any Time double red lines at the western kerb-line outside Gateway House, John Wilson Street;
(3) install 5 metres of NO Stopping at Any Time double red lines on Woolwich Ferry Roundabout outside No.145 Woolwich High Street, The Mitre Public House;
(4) install 43 metres of NO Stopping at Any Time double red lines at the northern kerb-line of Woolwich High Street between its junctions with Woolwich Ferry Roundabout and Glass Yard;
(5) install 47 metres of NO Stopping at Any Time double red lines at the southern kerb-line of Woolwich High Street, outside No.186 Powis Street, Christ Faith Tabernacle.
3. The road which would be affected by the Order is Woolwich Ferry Roundabout.
4. A copy of the Order, a statement of Transport for London’s reasons for the proposals, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Order can be inspected by visiting our website at https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/tro and selecting the relevant borough and reference the Traffic Order relates to or by appointment during normal office hours at our office at the address below. 5. All objections and other representations to the proposed Order must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. Objections and representations must be sent to Transport for London, Streets Traffic Order Team, Palestra, 197 Blackfriars Road, London, SE1 8NJ or by emailing trafficordersection@tfl.gov.uk quoting reference SNOREGULATION/STOT/GK/TRO/GLA/2025/0582, to arrive before 19th September 2025. Please note due to hybrid working access to post is restricted and requests for documents and confirmation of your objections or representations may be delayed. Objections and other representations may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
