THE ISLINGTON (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO. 19) ORDER 2025

THE ISLINGTON (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO. 19) ORDER 2025

1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington, on 4 September 2025, has made the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, and of all other powers thereunto enabling.

2) The general effect of the Orders, which will come into effect on 15 September 2025, is to:

a) introduce electric vehicle bays on the carriageway in place of existing parking spaces in the locations specified in the Schedule to this Notice; and

b) make various other amendments to the map schedules so that they accurately reflect the on-street parking layout. These amendments will not result in changes on-street.

3) A copy of the made Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection. Copies of these documents may be obtained either by emailing environment@islington.gov.uk, by telephoning Environment on 020 7527 2000 or by sending a postal request to Environment, 1 Cottage Road, London N7 8TP. You can arrange an inspection in person by emailing environment@islington.gov.uk or calling 020 7527 2000, quoting reference 8170.

4) Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or of any provisions contained therein on the grounds that it or they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may make application for the purpose to the High Court within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made.
