THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

In order to provide a parking facility to disabled blue badge holders who meet qualifying criteria, the general effect of the above Orders would be to provide designated disabled parking bays for use by motorists in their vehicles who display both a valid disabled blue badge and a dedicated disabled permit which would be applicable to each bay, outside the following locations: 44/46 Oakleigh Road North N20, 10 New Trinity Road N2, 1 Westcroft Way NW2 (by converting a length of existing resident permit holders only parking bay), Midhurst, Wetherill Road N10, 4 Asmuns Hill NW11 (by converting a length of existing resident permit holders only parking bay), 6 Meadway Close NW11, 6 Trinder Road EN5 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), Hollyfield Avenue N11 (adjacent to 20a/b/c Friern Barnet Road), 36 Bell Lane NW4, opposite 8/9 Brook Walk HA8, Broadhead Strand NW9, opposite the rear of 6 Hammersley (by converting an existing designated disabled permit holder only parking bay, 36 Bell Lane NW4, 36 Booth Road NW9 (be converting a length of existing resident permit holders only parking bay), 40 Lynton Avenue NW9, 71-82 Longberrys NW2 (by converting a length of existing resident permit holders only parking bay), Huntingdon Road N2, adjacent to 156 High Road (by converting a length of existing shared use resident permit holders/payment parking bay), 157 to 165 Beaufort Park NW11, Shakespeare Court, Shakespeare Road NW7, opposite 51/53 Quinta Drive EN5 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), 5 Ambrose Avenue NW11 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), and 119 Bittacy Hill NW7 (by converting a length of resident permit and permit holders only parking bay).

A shared use general disabled permit holders only parking bay operational Monday to Friday 8am to 9.30am and 2.45pm to 4.14pm, and resident permit holder only operational between Monday to Friday 11am to 12 midday, would also be provided outside No.43 Dunstan Road NW11

The general effect of the above Orders would also remove redundant disabled parking bays outside 3 Ambrose Avenue NW11 (to be converted to resident permit holders only parking operational between 11am to 12midday and 2pm to 3pm Monday to Friday), 50 The Fairway NW7, 5 Meadway NW11 (to be converted to resident permit holders only parking, operational between 1pm to 2pm Monday to Friday), 19 Birkbeck Road N12 (to be converted to resident permit holders only parking, operational between 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday), 42 Hertford Road N2 (to be converted to permit holders only parking, operational between 2pm to 3pm Monday to Friday), Quinta Drive EN5 (next to No.33 Quinta Drive) (to be converted to resident permit holders only parking, operational between 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday), 146 Squires Lane N3, and Chandos Road N2 (next to No.2 Chandos Road).

The general effect of the above Orders would also be to formalise the existing length of resident permit holders only parking operational 10am to 11am Monday to Friday and permit holders only parking operational 1pm to 6pm on event days, outside Nos.155/157 Bittacy Hill to Nos. 119/121 Bittacy Hill NW7, and to formalise the existing length of ‘At any time’ waiting restriction on Bittacy Hill NW7, between Nos.119/121 Bittacy Hill and a point approximately 10 metres northwest of its junction with Sanders Lane.

Any person wishing to object to or comment on the proposed Orders should send a written statement explaining their objection/comments, and quoting reference number SCR668, to the Design Team, London Borough of Barnet, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale NW9 4EW, via the Barnet TraffWeb website or via email to parking.consultations@barnet.gov.uk within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
