The Welsh Ministers give notice that they have determined that the proposed replacement of the existing A494 River Dee road bridge at Queensferry, Flintshire (OS grid reference SJ315685) including online and off line works and side road improvements is a relevant project within the meaning of Section 105A (1) of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended) and is to be made subject to an Environmental Impact Assessment in accordance with Part VA of the Highways Act 1980, Directive 2014/52/EU (which amended Directive 2011/92/EU) and the Environmental Impact Assessment (Miscellaneous Amendments relating to Harbours, Highways and Transport) Regulations 2017.

They also give notice that an Assessment of Implications for European Sites under Regulation 63 of the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017 and Article 6(3) of the Habitats Directive 92/43/EC is required.
