EXTENSION OF MATCH/EVENT DAY PART-TIME CLOSURE

HOLMESDALE ROAD, SOUTH NORWOOD.

THE CROYDON (TRAFFIC MOVEMENT) (NO. 3) ORDER 2025

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Croydon on 29 September 2025 made the abovementioned Order under Section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order will be to extend the existing part-time match/event day closure in Holmesdale Road (between Clifton Road and Upper Grove) southwestwards, to prohibit vehicles proceeding between its junctions with Upper Grove and Dagmar Road/Farnley Road. The closure would be in force for up to two hours before and at the end of a football match or an event at Selhurst Park Football Stadium to clear crowds until normal traffic operation can be resumed. The Order is intended to assist with the safety of football supporters/event attendees at matches or events at the Selhurst Park ground.

3. Copies of the Order, which will come into operation on 06 October 2025 and of all associated Orders can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Order is made, by appointment with the Parking Design Team, 3rd Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). Alternatively all related documents or further informationcan be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.

4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order is made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
