CROYDON COUNCIL
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS & FREE PARKING BAYS PAMPISFORD ROAD, PURLEY
THE CROYDON (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF STOPPING, LOADING AND WAITING) AND (FREE PARKING PLACES) (NO. F34) ORDER 20-
THE CROYDON (ON-STREET CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (NO. F35) ORDER 20-
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be:
a) To remove 10.9 metres of free parking bay and 6.9 metres of adjacent single yellow line on the south-east side of Pampisford Road, opposite Nos. 45 and 47, and replace them with a 17.8 metre length of “at any time” double yellow lines.
b) To remove 40 metres of “at any time” double yellow lines on the south-east side and 40 metres of single yellow from the north-west side of Pampisford Road (outside/opposite Nos. 39 to 45) and replace them with a new raised zebra crossing and zig-zag markings.
3. A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made, or the Council decides not to make the Orders, by appointment with the Parking Design Team, at Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). Alternatively all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.
4. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Order Making Section or email the Parking Design Team (addresses above), quoting the reference PD/CH/F34 & F35 by 23 October 2025.
5. The Order is intended to amend existing waiting restrictions and free parking bays in Pampisford Road, Purley, to accommodate a new raised zebra crossing. The changes are part of a scheme to introduce improvements to create a safer environment for pedestrians in Pampisford Road.
