NOTICE is given that Thurrock Council as Highway Authority intends to apply to COLCHESTER MAGISTRATES' COURT sitting at St. Botolph’s Circus, Colchester CO2 7TP on 18th December 2025 at 2pm for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the stopping up of 251 Branksome Avenue, Stanford-le-Hope shown coloured green on the attached plan on the ground that it is unnecessary.

A copy of the draft Order and Plan may be obtained by contacting highwaysDM@thurrock.gov.uk free of charge.

Any person to whom this Notice has been given or who uses the highway specified or who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order may appear before the Magistrates’ Court to raise an objection or make a representation on the application. Any person intending to appear before the Magistrates' Court at the hearing of the application is requested to inform Julian Howes at jhowes@thurrock.gov.uk before the 7th November 2025 quoting reference Branksome Avenue / 029942
