NATIONAL GRID ELECTRICITY TRANSMISSION PLC ELECTRICITY ACT 1989
Notice of Application for Section 37 Consent to temporarily divert the 4ZR 400kV overhead line between Towers 4ZR002 and 4ZR006 on land to the north of Cottingham, East Riding of Yorkshire to facilitate the construction of two new towers to turn the existing 400kV circuits into the proposed Birkhill Wood Substation.
Notice is hereby given that National Grid Electricity Transmission plc (National Grid) intends to make an application under Section 37 of the Electricity Act 1989 for the consent of the Secretary of State at the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero, for the temporary diversion of the 4ZR 400kV overhead line between Towers 4ZR002 and 4ZR006 in order to facilitate the construction of two new towers required to turn the existing 400kV circuits into the proposed Birkhill Wood substation. The temporary overhead line diversion is proposed on land east of the existing line between the towers and comprises the installation of 4 temporary masts required to be kept installed for up to 12 months.

Such objections must be received by 4 weeks from latest publication. Any such objections or representations will be copied to the relevant planning authority and the applicant unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not so be copied. If there is such a request then the relevant planning authorities and the applicant will only be informed that an objection has been made but no details will be forwarded to them.
