THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 202*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council proposes to make the above Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be, in connection with the introduction of permanent segregated cycle tracks and the formalisation of a combination of advisory and mandatory cycle lanes on both sides of Westbourne Bridge and Westbourne Terrace, between Orsett Terrace / Westbourne Bridge and Craven Road, to:

(a) exempt pedal cycles from the “no entry” prohibitions between the island sites at the junction of Harrow Road / Westway with Westbourne Terrace Road and Westbourne Bridge – two-way working would be permitted between the island sites for pedal cycles travelling between Westbourne Bridge and Westbourne Terrace Road;

(b) introduce 34.1 metres of loading restrictions operating between 7.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. and between 4.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive on the north-east side of Westbourne Terrace, outside Nos. 155 and 157;

(c) introduce 14.2 metres of loading restrictions operating between 7.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. and between 4.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive on the south-west side of Westbourne Terrace, adjacent to Trinity Court, No. 138; and

(d) introduce “at any time” loading restrictions on:

(i) the south-west side of Westbourne Bridge, extending 25.9 metres north-west of its junction with Orsett Terrace / Westbourne Terrace;

(ii) the north-east side of Westbourne Bridge, extending 40.8 metres north-west of its junction with Orsett Terrace / Westbourne Terrace;

(iii) both sides of Westbourne Terrace, extending from its junction with Orsett Terrace / Westbourne Bridge to a point 38 metres south-east of its junction with Bishop’s Bridge Road, except for the lengths of loading restrictions referred to in paragraphs 2(b) and (c) above;

(iv) the south-east side of Bishop’s Bridge Road, extending 10.9 metres south-west of its junction with Westbourne Terrace; and

(v) the north-east side of Bishop’s Bridge Road, extending 6.3 metres south-west of its junction Westbourne Terrace.

3. The proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until six weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders at https://westminstertransportationservices.co.uk/cmsphase3westbourneterrace and, in person by appointment only, at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (except bank / public holidays). 5. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
