The Department for the Economy has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The Insolvency Practitioners (Recognised Professional Bodies) (Revocation of Recognition) (No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2025" (S.R. 2025 No. 170) which comes into operation on 5th November 2025.

This Rule revokes the Law Society of Northern Ireland recognition under Article 350 of the Insolvency (Northern Ireland) Order 1989 as a body capable of authorising its members to act as insolvency practitioners.
