PROPOSED ZEBRA CROSSING ASSOCIATED ZIG-ZAG MARKINGS WOOD LANE, ISLEWORTH, AND SPEED TABLE WOOD LANE, ISLEWORTH

1. The London Borough of Hounslow GIVES NOTICE in exercise of the powers under section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to:-

a) Introduce a Zebra Crossing and associated zig-zag markings in the following location:

a. Wood Lane, Isleworth:

i. North-eastern kerb-line, from a point 6.5 metres north-west of the common building line between Nos. 126 and 128 Wood Lane in a north-western direction for a distance of 18.0 metres;

ii. South-western kerb-line, from a point 6.5 metres north-west of the common building line between Nos. 126 and 128 Wood Lane in a north-western direction for a distance of 12.0 metres;

iii. North-eastern kerb-line, from a point 2.5 metres south-east of the common building line between Nos. 126 and 128 Wood Lane in a south-eastern direction for a distance of 16.0 metres; &

iv. South-western kerb-line, from a point 2.5 metres south-east of the common building line between Nos. 126 and 128 Wood Lane in a south-eastern direction for a distance of 16.0 metres.

2. NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that The London Borough of Hounslow propose, under Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980, to construct a flat-top road hump (also known as a “speed table”) in: a) Wood Lane, Isleworth:

a. Northern end: 5.0 m north of the common building line Nos.126 and 128 Wood Lane; &

b. Southern end: 1.0 m south of common building line Nos.126 and 128 Wood Lane.

3. The flat-top road hump would extend across both sides of Wood Lane, Isleworth with a maximum height of 75mm, maximum centreline plateau length of 6.0 m, and a maximum front and rear slope of 1 in 20.

4. Documents giving further information of the proposals, including plans, can be viewed for a period of 21 days from the date of this Notice online at hounslow.gov.uk by typing in the term “traffic notices” in the search bar.

5. Any person wishing to comment on the proposals should send a statement in writing, to the Acting Assistant Director for Traffic, Transport, and Parking, Hounslow Council, Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow, Middlesex TW3 3EB or by email to trafficorders@hounslow.gov.uk quoting the reference TMO/P039/25, to be received by no later than Friday, 21 November 2025.
