1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Hounslow propose to make the above-mentioned Orders, under Sections 84(1) and 84(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of these Orders would be to:

(a) make the following speed limit amendments:

(i) revoke the 20mph speed limit in the length of road “High Street, Brentford”, between it’s junctions with The Ham and Goat Wharf in the Schedule of The London Borough of Hounslow (20mph Speed Limit) (No.2) Order 2019;

(ii) revoke the 20mph speed limit in the length of road “Lampton Road, Hounslow”, between its junction with Bath Road and the northern boundary of No. 69 Lampton Road, Hounslow in the Schedule of The London Borough of Hounslow (20mph Speed Limit) (No.4) Order 2016;

(iii) revoke the 20mph speed limit in the length of road “London Road, Brentford”, from a point outside No. 279 London Road to outside No. 142 London Road, Brentford in the Schedule of The London Borough of Hounslow (20mph Speed Limit) (No.4) Order 2017;

(iv) revoke the 20mph speed limit in the length of road “Sutton Lane, Hounslow”, from its junction with Sarsen Avenue to the common boundary of Nos. 14/16 Sutton Lane, Hounslow in the Schedule of The London Borough of Hounslow (20mph Speed Limit) (No.4) Order 2019;

(v) revoke the 20mph speed limit in the length of road “Wellington Road South, Hounslow”, the service road fronting Nos. 199 to 233, Wellington Road South, Hounslow in the Schedule of The London Borough of Hounslow (20mph Speed Limit) (No.2) Order 2019;

(vi) introduce the 20mph speed limit in the length of road “High Street, Brentford”, from the central boundary of Brentford Bridge, Grand Union Canal in an easterly direction to and including its junction with Goat Wharf, Brentford;

(vii) introduce the 20mph speed limit in the length of road “Lampton Road, Hounslow”, from and including its junction with Bath Road in a north-easterly direction to its junction with Jersey Road, Hounslow;

(viii) introduce the 20mph speed limit in the length of road “London Road, Brentford”, from a point 10.5 metres east of the common boundary of Nos. 491/491a London Road in an easterly direction to the central boundary of Brentford Bridge, Grand Union Canal, Brentford;

(ix) introduce the 20mph speed limit in the length of road “Sutton Lane, Hounslow”, from a point 44 metres north of the common boundary of Nos. 139/141 Sutton Lane in a south-western direction to a point 29.5m north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Bath Road;

(x) introduce the 20mph speed limit in the length of road “Wellington Road North, Hounslow”, from the common boundary of Nos. 1/3 Wellington Road North in a southerly direction to its junction with Staines Road, Hounslow; and

(xi) introduce the 20mph speed limit in the length of road “Wellington Road South, Hounslow”, from its junction with Staines Road in a southerly direction, including the service road fronting Nos. 199 to 233, Wellington Road South, to its junction with Hanworth Road, Hounslow.

3. Documents giving further information of the proposed Orders and raised table can be viewed for a period of 21 days from the date of this Notice online at hounslow.gov.uk by typing in the term “traffic notices” in the search bar and at Hounslow Library, Hounslow House First Floor, 7 Bath Road, TW3 3EB or at The Reception of Hounslow House, Ground Floor, 7 Bath Road, TW3 3EB on Mondays and Thursdays between 9.30am and 8pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 9.30am and 5.30pm or on Sundays between 11.30am and 4.00pm.

4. Any person wishing to object to the proposals should send a statement in writing stating the grounds of their objection to the Acting Assistant Director for Traffic, Transport and Parking, Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow, Middlesex TW3 3EB or via email to trafficorders@hounslow.gov.uk quoting the reference TMO/P045/25, to be received no later than 21 November 2025.
