The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled "The Stopping up of Highway (North East) (No.21) Order 2025" authorising the stopping up of a western part width of Benton Road at South Shields, in the Metropolitan Borough of South Tyneside This is to enable development as permitted by South Tyneside Council under reference 250168.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/NE/S247/6039). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Biddick Hall Post Office, 39 Gaskell Avenue, South Shields, NE34 9TQ.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 12 November 2025.
