ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA

PROPOSED CHANGES TO CERTAIN OFF-STREET RBKC HOUSING PARKING BAY PROVISIONS IN THE HENRY DICKENS COURT ESTATE, WEST ROW ESTATE AND VERITY CLOSE ESTATE

THE KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA (HOUSING ESTATES) (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES AND WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 2025

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 35 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The general effect of the order would be in respect of:

(a) the Henry Dickens Court Housing Estate, to convert RBKC-Housing disabled parking bay (HDC 21) to RBKC-Housing resident permit holders (HDC) bay (parking bay number 32);

(b) the Henry Dickens Court Housing Estate, to convert RBKC-Housing resident permit holders (HDC) bay (parking bay number 36) to RBKC-Housing disabled parking bay (HDC 21);

(c) the West Row Housing Estate, to convert RBKC-Housing resident permit holders (WER) bay (parking bay number 3) to RBKC-Housing disabled parking bay (WER 04); and

(d) the Verity Close Housing Estate, to convert RBKC-Housing resident permit holders (VEC) bay (parking bay number 20) to RBKC-Housing disabled parking bay (VEC 06).

2. A copy of the Order and other documents may be obtained by emailing trafficorders@rbkc.gov.uk or by contacting Chris Eales by telephone on 020 7361 2553 quoting reference “Housing/Oct25 Misc” and can be inspected by appointment at Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, London W8 7NX between 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

3. Anyone wishing to support or object to the proposal or make any other representations in respect of it, should send a statement in writing to that effect, and in the case of an objection, stating the grounds thereof, to trafficorders@rbkc.gov.uk or Traffic Orders, Transportation and Highways, Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, London W8 7NX quoting reference “Housing/Oct25 Misc”, by 3rd December 2025.

4. Under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any letter you write to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.
