THE CROYDON (ON-STREET CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (NO. F46) ORDER 20-

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be:

a) To remove 10 metres of double yellow lines on the north-west side of Bingham Road outside No. 39 and replace them with a new zebra crossing and zig-zag markings.

b) To relocate the existing disabled parking bay outside St Mildred’s Church (opposite No. 43 Bingham Road) to a point 12.9 metres east of its current position and introduce a new 9.2 metre length of double yellow lines on the south-east side of Bingham Road, opposite No. 43, to increase visibility on the approach to the above crossing.

3. A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected on Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made, or the Council decides not to make the Orders, between 10am and 6pm, at Croydon Central Library, Katharine Street, CR9 1ET. Alternatively, all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.

4. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Order Making Section or email the Parking Design Team (addresses above), quoting the reference PD/CH/F45 & F46 by 03 December 2025.

5. The Order is intended to amend existing waiting restrictions and parking bays on Bingham Road, Croydon, to accommodate a new zebra crossing. The changes are part of a scheme to introduce improvements to create a safer environment for pedestrians on these roads.
