HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 90C

PROPOSED RAISED ENTRY TREATMENT

WALPOLE ROAD, CROYDON

Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that they propose to install a raised entry treatment as specified in the Schedule to this Notice to help reduce vehicular speeds, improve road safety and provide a crossing point for pedestrians at this location.

Persons desiring to object to the proposal should send a statement in writing of their objections and grounds thereof to the Order Making Section, Parking Design Team, 3rd Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA or by emailing parking.design@croydon.gov.uk quoting the reference PD/CH/F8 by 03 December 2025.

SCHEDULE

It is intended to place a raised entry treatment in the carriageway in accordance with the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999. As a guide the ramp will be 5.3 metres long and 7.5 metres wide. It will be between 75mm and 90mm high with an approximate ramp gradient of between 1:18 and 1:22 on the southern side of the plateau and between 1:14 and 1:19 on the northern side. The entry treatment will be placed in the following location.
