Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in exercise of the powers conferred upon her by section 3(5) of the Land Drainage Act 1991 (“the 1991 Act”), proposes to make an Order confirming a Scheme submitted by the Environment Agency under section 3(1) of the 1991 Act.

The draft Order confirming the Scheme makes provision for:

(i) the reconstitution of the Waveney, Lower Yare, and Lothingland Internal Drainage Board to reduce the number of elected members to 9 under section 3(2)(d) of the 1991 Act; and

(ii) matters supplemental to or consequential on the above under section 3(2)(i) of the 1991 Act.

Any objection to the draft Order should be made in writing and sent via e-mail to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, to the above contact, within the thirty-day period mentioned above.
