THE BROMLEY (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) ORDER 2003 (AMENDMENT NO. 241) ORDER 2025

THE BROMLEY (CONTROLLED PARKING) (ON STREET PLACES) ORDER 2004 (AMENDMENT NO. 151) ORDER 2025

(VARIOUS LOCATIONS)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Order would be to:-

(a) introduce/extend “No Waiting at Any time” restrictions as set out in the Schedule 1 to this Notice.

(b) convert existing Waiting restrictions operating Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6.30pm to “No Waiting at Any Time” restrictions as set out in the Schedule 2 to this Notice.

(c) Introduce new Waiting Restrictions operating Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6.30pm as set out in Schedule 3 to this Notice.

(d) amend existing ‘Loading Bay’ prescribed hours from Monday to Sunday 8am to 9am to Monday to Sunday 8am to 5pm as set out in Schedule 4 to this Notice.

Details of prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Order.

Copies of the proposed Orders, plans and of the Council's statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be made available by emailing TrafficManagementOrders@bromley.gov.uk during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays.

ANY person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Environment and Public Protection, Civic Centre, Churchill Court, 2 Westmoreland Road, Bromley, BR1 1AS, quoting reference ADE(TP)/RP/T100/T794 not later than 17th December 2025.

Persons objecting to the proposed orders should be aware that under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this Notice may be open to public inspection.

SCHEDULE:-

SCHEDULE 1 :-

NO WAITING AT ANY TIME RESTRICTIONS

BEBLETS CLOSE, Orpington: (a) north-east and east side, from the common boundary of Nos. 16 & 18 in a north-easterly and north-westerly direction, to a point 2.7 metres east of the rear common boundary of Nos. 30 and 32 Warnford Road

BROOM AVENUE, Orpington; (a) west side, from a point 10 metres north of the northern kerbline of Palewell Close to a point 10 metres south of the southern kerbline of Palewell Close.

CHALK PIT AVENUE, Orpington: (a) both sides, from its junction with St Laurence Close in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 10 metres

COURT FARM ROAD, Mottingham: (a) east side, from its junction with Grove Park Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 28 metres (b) west side, from its junction with Grove Park Road in southerly direction for a distance of 25 metres

EDEN PARK AVENUE, Beckenham: (a) north-east side, from a point 10 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of Glanfield Road to a point 10 metres north-west of the north-western kerbline of Glanfield Road.

EDMUNDS AVENUE, Orpington: (a) north-west side, from the western kerbline of Chalk Pit Avenue in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 20 metres (b) south-east side, from a point 10 metres south-west of the western kerbline of St Justin Close to a point 10 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerbline of St Justin Close.

GLANFIELD ROAD, Beckenham: (a) both sides, from its junction with Eden Park Avenue in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres

HIGH STREET, Orpington: (a) east side, from a point 10 metres south of the southern kerbline of Mountfield Way in a northerly direction to a point 10 metres north of the northern kerbline of Mountfield Way (b) west side, from a point opposite the southern building line of No.79 in northerly direction for a distance of 14 metres

KYNASTON ROAD, Orpington: (a) both sides, from the common boundary of Nos. 38-40 in a south-easterly direction to the common boundary of Nos.47-49

LEESONS HILL, Orpington: (a) south-east side, from a point opposite the north-eastern kerbline of Silverdale Road in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 15.5 metres

MOUNTFIELD WAY, Orpington: (a) north side, from the eastern kerbline of High Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres (b) south side, from the eastern kerbline of High Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres

PALEWELL CLOSE, Orpington: (a) both sides, from its junction with Broom Avenue in a westerly direction for a distance if 10 metres ST JUSTIN CLOSE, Orpington: (a) both sides, from its junction with Edmunds Avenue in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres.

ST LAURENCE CLOSE, Orpington: (a) north-west side, from its eastern kerbline of Chalk Pit Avenue in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres.

TILE FARM ROAD, Orpington: (a) north-east side, from the eastern kerbline of Newstead Avenue in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 12.1 metres

SCHEDULE 2 :-

WAITING RESTRICTIONS

Convert existing “No Waiting” Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6.30pm to No Waiting ‘At any Time’

GREAT ELMS ROAD, Bromley: (a) south-west side, from the south-eastern kerbline of Homesadale Road in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 18 metres (b) north-east-side, from the south-eastern kerbline of Homesdale Road in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 16.5 metres

HIGH STREET, Orpington: (a) west side, from a point opposite the northern building line of Nos. 1-5 Windsor House in a southerly direction to its junction Mill Brook Road

HIGH STREET / MILL BROOK ROAD: (a) west side and east side, centre island, situated at a point opposite Nos.83-87 High Street for its entirety

MILLBROOK ROAD, Orpington: (a) east side, from its junction with High Street in a north westerly direction for a distance of 10 metres

SCHEDULE 3:-

WAITING RESTRICTIONS

Monday to Saturday operating between 8am and 6.30pm: -

CHISLEHURST ROAD, Chislehurst: (a) south side, from a point 11 metres north-west of its junction with Broom Hill Road to the common boundary of Nos. 97 and 99a.

HIGH STREET, Orpington: (a) west side, from a point 14 metres north opposite the southern building line of No. 79 Warwick House in a northerly direction for a distance of 15 metres

SCHEDULE 4:-

LOADING BAY

Amend existing ‘Loading Bay’ prescribed hours from Monday to Sunday 8am to 9am to Monday to Sunday 8am to 5pm

OAKLEIGH GARDENS, Orpington: (a) south-west side, from a point 8 metres north-west of the north-western kerbline of Crescent Way in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 12 metres.
