LONDON BOROUGH OF ENFIELD

PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF A PART TIME PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLE ZONE (SCHOOL STREET) FOR ENFIELD COUNTY SCHOOL FOR GIRLS (LOWER SCHOOL).

PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO:

THE ENFIELD (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (SCHOOL STREETS) (NO. **) TRAFFIC ORDER 202*

THE ENFIELD (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. **) TRAFFIC ORDER 202*

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield (the Council) propose to make The Enfield (Prescribed Routes) (School Streets) (No. **) Traffic Order 202* and The Enfield (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. *) Order 202* under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

1. The general effect of the Order would be to:

(1) Introduce no waiting at any time restrictions in Hawthorn Grove, the north side, between the common boundary of Nos. 20 and 22 Hawthorn Grove and a point opposite the eastern kerb-line of Acacia Road.

(2) extend the existing pedestrian and cycle zone banning motor vehicles except permit holders during term-time on Mondays to Fridays for Enfield County Schools for Girls (Lower School) (PCZ 28) 8am to 9am and 3pm to 3.45pm in:

(a) Hawthorn Grove, between the junction of Acacia Road and the entrance to Lavender Primary School.

(b) Lavender Road, the entire length.

(c) Primrose Avenue, the entire length.

(d) Rosemary Avenue, the entire length. Any vehicle that is already in those length of roads listed in paragraph 1 before the pedestrian and cycle zone commences will be permitted to leave.

2. A copy of the proposed Orders and other documents giving detailed particulars about them can be inspected at the Town Library, 66 Church Street, Enfield EN2 6AX, Monday to Fridays 9am – 5pm inclusive, or online at: https://new.enfield.gov.uk/services/roads-and-transport/traffic-management-orders/ or can also be obtained by emailing journeysandplaces@enfield.gov.uk or by writing to the Journeys and Places Team (quoting reference TG52/1601) Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XD).

3. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders or make any other representations must do so by midnight on 21 December 2025. Any such objection or any representation must be in writing, quoting reference TG52/1589, and must state the grounds on which it is made.
