NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 21 November 2025 The Scottish Borders Council in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Paragraph 7 of Schedule 16 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act (the “Act”) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, and following the decision of the Scottish Ministers dated 19 November 2025 confirmed, without modification, The Scottish Borders Council (DG161-2 Birks View, Galashiels) (Stopping Up) Order 2024 stopping up that section of road described in the Schedule below.

A copy of the Order as confirmed and relative plan showing the section of road affected may be inspected at The Scottish Borders Council, Council Headquarters, Newtown St. Boswells during normal office hours and also at the Council’s Contact Centre, Paton Street, Galashiels, TD1 3AS during its normal opening hours. The Order, as confirmed, comes into operation on 27 November 2025 being the date on which this Order is first publicised. Any person aggrieved by the Order may in accordance with the provisions of Section 238 of the Act, by application to the Court of Session within 6 weeks from 27 November 2025, question its validity on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by Part IX of the said Act or that their interests have been substantially prejudiced by a failure to comply with any requirement of the said Part IX or any regulation made thereunder.
