TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

STOPPING UP ORDER NO. 1 – TUSTIN ESTATE, PHASE 2

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of the following areas of public highway shown hatched black on the Stopping Up Drawing ref. TUS2-BYG-ZZ-ZZ-DGA-X-700001 attached to the draft Order and Stopping Up Drawing, Tustin Estate Phase 2.

The highway to be stopped up is in the London Borough of Southwark and is shown hatched black on the Stopping Up Drawing ref. TUS2-BYG-ZZ-ZZ-DGA-X-700001 attached hereto (labelled Stopping Up Drawing). The area of highway along Ilderton Road.

IF THE ORDER IS MADE the stopping up will be authorised to enable the development described in the Schedule to this Notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted under Part III of the Act by the Council on 16 April 2025 under local planning authority reference No 24/AP/2446.

COPIES OF THE DRAFT ORDER AND THE RELEVANT PLAN MAY BE INSPECTED FREE OF CHARGE by way of appointment during a 28 day period commencing on 20 November 2025 at 160 Tooley Street, London SE1 2TZ by calling 020 7525 2135 and referring to Stopping Up Order No. 1 Tustin Estate Phase 2 Stopping Up Order. A copy may also be viewed on the Council’s website at https://www.southwark.gov.uk/transport-and-roads/roadworks-and-highway-improvements/highway-stopping-up-closure-orders?chapter=4

ANY PERSON MAY OBJECT to the making of the proposed Order within a 28 day period commencing on 27 November 2025 by written notice to the Director of Legal Services, 2nd Floor, Hub 2, PO Box 64529, London SE1P 5LX quoting reference (LEG/RP/PL/RR020/752 (SB)).

In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it.

THE SCHEDULE

‘The highway to be stopped up is in the London Borough of Southwark and can be described as two areas of highway as shown hatched black on the Stopping Up Drawing ref. TUS2-BYG-ZZ-ZZ-DGA-X-700001 attached hereto totalling 2293.6 square metres in area. The first area of highway at the Tustin Estate measures 163 metres long at its longest point and 7.52 metres wide at its widest point. The second area of highway parallel to Ilderton Road measures 153 metres long at its longest point and 7.9 metres wide.’
