PROPOSED MINOR PARKING AMENDMENTS
VARIOUS STREETS IN THE BOROUGH
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make the following Orders under section 6 and 45 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.
• The Wandsworth (Wandsworth Common & Tooting Bec) (Parking Places) (No. *) Order 20**
• The Wandsworth (Putney) (Parking Places) (No. *) Order 20**
• The Wandsworth (Tooting Broadway) (Parking Places) (No. *) Order 20**
• The Wandsworth (Clapham South and Balham) (Parking Places) (No. *) Order 20**
• The Wandsworth (Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools) (No. *) Order 202*
2. The general effect of the Orders would be:-
(a) .to remove two parking bays on the south-western side of Bedford Hill to ensure visibility for pedestrians and drivers near the new zebra crossing to the north-west of Veronica Road;
(b) to remove two parking bays on the north side of Felsham Road in the vicinity of St Mary’s C of E Primary School to increase visibility for pedestrians and drivers. Three spaces will remain.
(c) Remove the existing School Keep Clear on the south side of Felsham Road. The School Keep Clear markings will be replaced with zig zag markings associated with the zebra crossing.
(d) to remove one parking space on the north side of Church Lane in the vicinity of the new crosing to increase visibility for pedestrians and drivers.
(e) to remove one parking space on the south side of Church Lane in the vicinity of the new crossing to increase visibility for pedestrians and drivers. Three bays will remain
(f) to remove one parking bay to the east of the zebra crossing, opposite No. 86 Nightingale Lane, to increase visibility for pedestrians and drivers.
3. Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays in The Customer Centre, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU. The documents will remain available until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders.
4. Any person wishing to make a comment about the proposals should send a statement in writing to the Executive Director of Resident Services at the address below within 21 days of the date of this Notice
