PROPOSED ZEBRA CROSSING AND BUS STOP ALTERATIONS – FORTIS GREEN N2

THE HARINGEY (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.***) ORDER 202*

T36

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey proposes to make the above mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and under Section 23 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a zebra crossing on Fortis Green N2.

The general effect of the Order would be:-

1. To relocate the existing bus stop on the north side of Fortis Green N2 outside No.1-8/14-22 Long Ridges by approximately 9 metres westward.

2. To revoke no waiting at any time restrictions on both side of Fortis Green N2 outside and opposite No.140 and No.14-22 Long Ridges.

3. To install approximately 11 metres of no waiting/no loading at any time restrictions on the south side Fortis Green N2 opposite No.1 to 8 Long Ridges (between existing bus stop and double yellow lines).

The above parking changes are required to facilitate the installation of the proposed zebra crossing and associated zig-zag markings on Fortis Green N2, on which vehicles would be prohibited from stopping at all times. These will be placed on the carriageway either side of the crossing for approximately 17 metres in either direction. The centre of the crossing will be located outside the common boundary of No.140/No.14-22 Long Ridges (on existing pedestrian refuge island), with the width between the crossing give way lines at approximately 7 metres.

A copy of the proposed Order, a copy of this notice, a copy of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the proposed Order and plan(s) showing the locations and effects of the Order can be viewed via the online consultation portal https://consultation.appyway.com/haringey or inspected during normal office hours at the reception desk of Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made or the Council decides not to make the Order.
