LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT
THE BRENT (WEMBLEY STADIUM AREA) (PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 1) TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Brent on 23rd February 2026 made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6, 22C, 22D and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part I of schedule 5 to the Local Authority Act 1985.
2. The general effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of streets specified in the Schedule to this Notice, for purposes relating to danger or damage connected with terrorism, from 10.00 p.m. on the day before a Wembley Event Day to 8.00 a.m. on the day after that Wembley Event Day, when and where appropriate signs are being displayed.
3. The prohibition referred to in paragraph 2 above will not apply to:-
(a) in respect of any vehicle being used for ambulance, fire brigade in an emergency or police purposes;
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.
4. The Order will confer powers to police to direct that any provision of the Order of 2012 to be suspended, commenced or revived and to place barriers and obstructions on the above lengths of roads as they consider appropriate. It is anticipated that the above prohibitions will not be in force at all times during the prescribed hours, only as required by police.
5. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 9th March 2026, of maps of the relevant areas and of the above-mentioned Order (and of any Orders which have amended that Order) can be requested via email during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made at trafficorders@brent.gov.uk.
6. Any person desiring to question the validity of any of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to any of the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

SCHEDULE
1. Engineers Way (entire length);
2. First Way (entire length);
3. Fulton Road, between the south-eastern kerb-line of Empire Way and the between the western kerb-line of Rutherford Way;
4. Lakeside Way, between the south-eastern kerb-line of Empire Way and a point 3.00 metres east of that kerb-line;
5. Olympic Way:-
(a) between the northern kerb-line of Fulton Road and a point 8.00 metres north of that kerb-line;
(b) between the southern kerb-line of Fulton Road and a point 5.00 metres south of that kerb-line;
(c) between the southern kerb-line of Engineers Way and a point 10.00 metres south of that kerb-line;
6. Royal Route, between the south-eastern kerb-line of Wembley Hill Road and a point 3.00 metres east of that kerb-line;
7. South Way, between the eastern kerb-line Wembley Hill Road and the south-western kerb-line of Second Way;
8. Stadium Way, between the south-eastern kerb-line of Wembley Hill Road and a point 4.00 metres east of that kerb-line;
9. The egress from the Holiday Inn Hotel car park and the adjacent unnamed service road to the existing multi-storey car park to the rear of the Holiday Inn Hotel, between the south-eastern kerb-line of Wembley Hill Road and a point 3.00 metres east of that kerb-line.
