The KING has directed that the Mention in Despatches awarded to Driver Norman Ted NYE 43844 (deceased) of the Australian 2/6th Armoured Regiment dated 23 December 1943 (No 36297) for his gallant and distinguished services in the South West Pacific shall be cancelled following the award of the Medal for Gallantry by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia for the same actions.

The KING has directed that the Mention in Despatches awarded to Sergeant Garry John CHAD 216372 4th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment dated 13 July 1972 (No 45767) for his gallant services in Vietnam shall be cancelled following the award of the Medal for Gallantry by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia for the same actions.
