1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Brent (‘the Council’) on 23rd March 2026 made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985, the Parking Acts of 1986 and 1989 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

2. The general effect of the 'Electric Vehicle Charging Points' Order will be to introduce electric vehicle charging points in certain lengths of streets specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

3. The charging points referred to in paragraph 2 above will be available for electric vehicles only “at any time”, without charge, provided that:-

(a) the vehicle is connected to the charging post via the re-charging lead provided at all times while it is left at the charging point;

(b) the usual exemption relating to vehicles displaying a disabled person's "Blue Badge" will apply.

4. The general effect of the 'Parking Places' Orders will be to:-

(a) reduce in length existing:-

i. permit parking places in Briar Road – Cricklewood and Fairview Avenue;

ii. Wembley stadium event day parking places in Chalkhill Road;

iii. resident permit parking places in Greenhill Road, Stafford Road;

iv. shared-use permit or pay parking place in West Ella Road;

(b) revoke Wembley stadium event day parking place in Thirlmere Gardens, to facilitate the introduction of the electric vehicle charging points.

5. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 7th April 2026, of maps of the relevant areas and of the above-mentioned Order of 2019 (and of any Orders which have amended that Order) can be requested via email during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at trafficorders@brent.gov.uk.

6. Any person desiring to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to any of the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
