THE MIDLANDS RADIO GROUP PENSION SCHEME (“THE SCHEME”)
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR THE PURPOSE OF
SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 that the Scheme will soon begin the process of being wound up.
Please read this notice carefully if you were employed by Birmingham Broadcasting Limited, Radio Trent Limited, Midlands Radio Plc, Leicester Sound Limited, Mercia Sound Limited, Global Media Group Services Limited, Global Radio Services Limited, GCAP Media Services Limited or GWR Radio Services Limited and were or think you might have been a member, the dependant of a member, or any other person who has a claim against the Scheme.
The Trustees believe that they have the names and contact details of everyone who has a right to a benefit under the Scheme. However, the Trustees wish to trace any persons who believe that they may have any right to benefits from the Scheme and have not received correspondence by post from the Trustees regarding their benefits being insured with an insurer.
Please write to the Trustees via Isio by email at midlandsradio@isio.com or by letter at the address below with full details of your claim, and any benefits that you think you are entitled to. Please include your full name, address, date of birth and national insurance number, and either details of dates that you were a member of the Scheme or the details of the basis of your claim together with any supporting documents within two months of the publication date of this notice. Your claim must arrive on or before two months from the date of this notice, at which time this notice shall expire.
After two months from the date of this notice, the Trustees will only have regard to the claims and interests of which they have prior written notice and will not, in respect of the assets being dealt with, be liable to any person whose claim has not been notified in writing prior to the expiry date of this notice. The Trustees will, in reliance on Section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925, distribute any remaining assets and wind up the Scheme.
If you already receive a pension from the Scheme, or you have received any other correspondence from the Trustees within the last twelve months, you do not need to write to the Trustees.
