1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate redevelopment works at No. 1 Hartfield Road (Wimbledon Bridge House and Car Park), they intend to make an Order under sections 14(1) and 15(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Hartfield Road.

2. During the works, the Hartfield Road bus lane, between its junction with Graham Road and its junction with Beulah Road, would have extended operational times of 7am to midnight Mondays to Sundays.

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. The Order would come into operation on Friday 10th July 2026 and the Council is satisfied that the works would take more than 18 months to complete. The Order would remain in force until such time as all the relevant works are completed, whereupon it would be revoked by a further Order made by the Council.
