NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 (As Amended), that an application has been made to SEPA by The Glenmorangie Company Ltd for consent to discharge 76.2 m3 per day of mixed distillery effluent to Loch an t-Sailein at NGR NR 4184 4590 from Ardbeg Distillery, Port Ellen, Isle of Islay, Argyll PA42 7EA.

Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to The Senior Registry Officer, SEPA, Graesser House, Fodderty Way, Dingwall IV15 9XB, not later than 23 August 2005 quoting reference WPC/W/71683.

A copy of the application may be inspected free of charge, at the above address, by prior arrangement with the Lochgilphead office at 2 Smithy Lane, Lochgilphead (Tel 01546 602876) or at the Argyll and Bute Council office, Jamieson Street, Bowmore, Isle of Islay.
