The Q ueen has been pleased approve Gavin McFarlane Black Esq., CBE, DL, be appointed the Vice Lord-Lieutenant for Tyne and Wear to act as Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant during his absence from the area, sickness or other inability to act.

The Commission signed on 1 July 2013, will be coterminous with the appointment of the Lord-Lieutenant, Nigel Sherlock, Esq. OBE.
